How to Convert a JPG File into a PNG File
If you have a jpg file and you want to convert it into apng file, there are a few things that you will need to do. First, open up the image in Photoshop or another program that can save as a PNG. Once you have the image open, go to File->Save As->PNG. Double-click on it to open it in Photoshop or whatever program you used to create it. Last, we need to tell Photoshop what color depth our new PNG file should have (8 bits per pixel or 24 bits per pixel). To do this, go back to Image->Mode->Bitmap and change the “Bit Depth” drop-down menu from 8 bit/pixel to either 24 bit/pixel or 32 bit/pixel (depending on your computer’s capabilities). Click OK when finished
